For sale is one “Gemini” seedling. Seedlings are growing in sphagnum moss. Characteristics will begin to show in the next few leaves.

This hybrid seed batch represents our aim to build upon the best of previous hybrid batches.

By selecting stand out plants from hybrid batches and backcrossing them to parent plants we hope to strengthen particular traits, pushing the limits of what is possible in terms of form, texture and colour in Anthurium hybrids.

“Twin Phoenix” was a hybrid batch created by crossing two stunning forms of Papillilaminum x Dressleri unique to Australian collections - the JS form of Papillilaminum x Dressleri (sometimes referred to as “Dark Phoenix”) was crossed with the late Michael Pascal’s Papillilaminum x Dressleri. The majority of the resulting seedlings displayed stunning traits. We held back a few of those plants and grew them up.

From them we selected a particularly dark / black leafed specimen for backcrossing with the JS form of Papillilaminum x Dressleri.
As seedlings are the result of hybrid parentage sibling plants will grow up in variation to one another.
